This section of the web site will provide students with information and resources on developing independent study skills. The reference tools section leads the student to sites that provide online reference materials such as dictionaries, atlases, databases, style guides and other resources. Also provided are links to sites that provide the student with self-help materials and self-evaluation tools.

The following resources provide the user with information on developing the study skills necessary for success in online learning. Within most of the sites are interactive online assessment tools that students can use to evaluate their skills.

Online Study Skills (James Cook University) Information that covers all the main study skills. Interactive quizzes for self-assessment are available.

Virginia Tech: Lots of online quizzes to help students analyze their study skills plus lots of information related to developing good study habits.

Minnesota Online Study Strategies, BBC Online Study Skills and Dushkin Online all provide comprehensive information and resources related to online study skills.
